Curated Talks w/ Felipe Pantone continues our journey of conversations with pioneers across the realms of art, design, technology, and architecture. These individuals not only mesmerize us with their innovative work but also with their profound insights into the essence of creativity and life itself. This series is more than a celebration of their achievements; it's a deep dive into what motivates them, what challenges them, and how they envision the world through their art.

Born into the vibrant world of graffiti and evolving into a master of digital and physical art, Felipe Pantone has solidified his place as a revolutionary artist of our times. His art, characterized by bold colors, geometric patterns, and optical illusions, transcends traditional boundaries, inviting viewers to experience a sense of motion and transformation. Pantone shares his journey and insights through ten thought-provoking questions, offering a glimpse into his creative universe and personal evolution.

1—If you could only keep one of your works, which would it be?

Having grown up painting graffiti and later murals, most of which eventually fade away, I've never felt nostalgic when a piece leaves my possession. I see the renovation of Casa Axis and the studio I'm building as a major project we're executing from my studio. Completing and preserving that work would ensure me the space to continue producing much new work.

2—Which historical artist would you like to spend a day with in their studio?

Victor Vasarely.

Operenccia, 1986. Victor Vasarely.

3—In a world limited to one colour, which would you choose?

Black. Most surfaces are white. Having the most contrasted color allows for the widest dynamic range.

4—A film that resonates with you.

Annie Hall.

5—Any book you would recommend?

"ARTE CINETICO Y NEOCINETISMO. Hitos y nuevas manifestaciones en el siglo XXI". Oliveras, Elena

6—What plays in your studio while you're creating?

If I want to really think, it's best for me to listen to downtempo electronic music. Otherwise, if I'm painting or doing something physical, I listen to most genres.

7—Where do you find inspiration for your works?

In my life and in light.

8—If your work could be summarised in one emotion, what would it be?

To be present.

9—Nominate an artist we should know about.

Frederic Plateus.

10—What question would you leave for the next guest?

Why do you make art?
