Introducing Casa Axis: Felipe Pantone's New Creative Hub

Casa Axis, the newest creative space by artist Felipe Pantone, is dedicated to fostering artistic exploration and dynamic interdisciplinary dialogues. Located just outside Valencia, Spain, this space-age structure, designed in 1975 by Antonio Segura and the architecture studio Pascual Genovés, is an architectural gem that has attracted the creative community for decades.

The structure itself is a masterpiece, boasting an impressive collection of European design objects from the 1970s, which will remain integral to Casa Axis. This architectural marvel has been a backdrop for numerous advertising campaigns, TV series, and movies, including the recent episode of Black Mirror (2023). Notable collaborations include projects with Bottega Veneta, Mercedes-Benz, Puma, and Palomo Spain.

Felipe Pantone describes Casa Axis as his most ambitious project to date, aiming to create a creative haven for artists passionate about breaking barriers and starting an artistic dialogue. "My goal is to support a vibrant community of artists, united in their passion for breaking barriers and starting an artistic dialogue. I hope to create a space where inspiration knows no limits and offer the artistic community an ideal place for creativity," says Pantone.

Creative Synergies and Unique Spaces

Casa Axis will serve not only as Felipe Pantone's workspace but also as a creative meeting point for artists from various disciplines. The artist residency program aims to generate synergies and foster collaboration between established and emerging artists. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to explore Pantone's private collection, gaining intimate insights into his creative process and visionary world.

Beneath the magnificent structure lies an original 1970s disco-themed listening room. Equipped with a high-efficiency analog Hi-Fi sound system custom-designed by Admire Audio, this space is perfect for musical encounters and listening parties. The studio's lighting has been created by Benoit Lalloz, a French designer known for blending art, design, science, and technology. His collaborations include work with renowned museums and international brands like Acne Studio and Balenciaga.

The Garden and Future Developments

Casa Axis also features a 7,000-square-meter garden, which will house a new studio with exhibition spaces, work areas, and an atelier. The minimalist and sleek design, incorporating large glass surfaces, ensures seamless interaction with the garden. The collaborative effort between architect Marina Victoria, Felipe Pantone, and a multidisciplinary team has resulted in a dream space for the artist.

In addition to the studio, Pantone plans to create a sculpture park within the garden, offering visitors the chance to enjoy outdoor artworks in a natural and harmonious setting. The construction of this new studio, undertaken by the Valencia-based AT4 construction company, is expected to be completed in early spring 2024.

The Influence of Environment on Artistic Creation

The spaces where artists create profoundly influence their work and the emotions their art evokes. Casa Axis, with its unique blend of historical architecture and modern design, offers an inspiring environment that stimulates creativity and artistic innovation. This sanctuary not only serves as a workspace but also as a catalyst for artistic expression and collaboration.

Artists find that the environment in which they work can deeply affect their creative process. The interaction with diverse artistic influences, the tranquil garden setting, and the state-of-the-art facilities at Casa Axis create a nurturing atmosphere for creativity. Such environments help artists to push boundaries, explore new ideas, and produce work that resonates with profound emotional depth.
